About the Programme
Joburg City Theatres (JCT) offers 20 unemployed youth a 12-month learnership in live event production, including:
✅ Hands-on training in lighting/sound/stage management
✅ NQF Level 4 qualification
✅ Monthly stipend (R3,500)
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have:
✔ Grade 10-12 certificate (no tertiary qualification)
✔ Age 18-35 (unemployed)
✔ Johannesburg resident (ward councillor proof required)
✔ Passion for technical production
Advantageous:
🎤 Community theatre experience
🎧 Basic AV equipment knowledge

- Stage Lighting & Sound Engineering
- Rigging & Set Construction
- Event Safety Protocols
- Front-of-House Operations
