Job Purpose
To act as frontline security personnel by responding promptly to alarm activations, conducting proactive patrols, and ensuring the safety and security of clients’ residential properties and designated areas in Langebaan. The role requires strict discipline, excellent judgement, and a high level of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and safely to residential alarm activations.
- Conduct regular patrols of all designated areas, monitoring for and investigating suspicious activity.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all patrols, visits, and incidents.
- Respond to client calls and service requests professionally.
- Perform regular mobile patrol inspections and daily vehicle checks.
- Investigate, document, and report all incidents thoroughly.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and discipline.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and a professional demeanour at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Certifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s Licence Code 8 (EB) with a minimum of 5 years’ driving experience.
- Registered and have a valid PSIRA – Grade B certificate.
- Clear criminal record.
Experience & Competencies:
- Minimum of 3 years’ Mobile Responder experience within the Safety and Security sector.
- Previous experience handling a lethal weapon and completed firearm competency.
- Good command of English and Afrikaans (verbal and written).
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on a roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Honest, reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management, organisational abilities, and attention to detail.
- Professional work ethic and appearance.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Langebaan if not currently residing in the area.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
