Job Purpose
SA Metal requires professional Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of its Secunda premises. The role involves access control, patrols, and compliance enforcement to protect company assets, personnel, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Access & Egress Control
✔ Operate gates and maintain entry/exit registers.
✔ Conduct searches of pedestrians, vehicles, and belongings.
✔ Verify documentation for items leaving the premises.
Safety & Compliance
🛡️ Issue and retrieve PPE for visitors/customers.
⚠️ Administer breathalyzer tests for staff access.
📋 Enforce company policies & procedures.
Surveillance & Reporting
👀 Patrol assigned areas regularly.
📝 Observe and report suspicious activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
✅ Matric/Grade 12
✅ Grade C PSIRA Registration (Mandatory)
Experience
🛡️ 2–3 years in security operations (access control preferred).
Skills & Attributes
🔹 Communication: Fluent in English (verbal/written).
