About the Role
GALXBOY, a leading South African streetwear brand, seeks a dynamic Sales Assistant to join its Cape Town team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service while contributing to store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers and provide personalized product recommendations.
- Drive sales through upselling/cross-selling techniques.
- Process transactions via POS systems (PAYFLEX, PJN, Happy Pay).
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain appealing product displays (steamed, folded, tagged).
- Ensure adherence to brand merchandising guidelines.
Stock Management
- Monitor and replenish floor stock daily.
- Report best-sellers/low stock to management.
Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Follow attendance and cash-handling procedures.
Requirements
✅ Education:
- Grade 12 certificate (essential).
- Higher education (advantageous).
✅ Experience:
- 1–2 years in retail (fashion preferred).
- POS system proficiency.
✅ Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and sales abilities.
- Knowledge of retail practices and visual merchandising.
- Leadership potential (team collaboration).
