The Roads Rehabilitation Division in Durban seeks a qualified Roadmaker to lead asphalt paving and road construction projects. This is a permanent role (Grade T09) offering government benefits + 13th cheque.

Core Responsibilities
Road Construction & Supervision
✔ Oversee asphalt paving, milling, and trench reinstatements
✔ Implement traffic deviations compliant with Road Traffic Act
✔ Ensure OHSA compliance on all worksites
Planning & Quality Control
✔ Manage material/plant resource allocation
✔ Maintain SABS quality standards for road surfaces
✔ Lead teams of 10-15 construction workers
Requirements
Mandatory:
✅ Trade-tested Artisan (Bricklayer/Construction)
✅ Code EC1 driver’s license + PrDP
✅ 2+ years road construction experience
Preferred:
🏗️ 3+ years large-scale road rehabilitation experience
📐 SAMTRAC/SHEQ certification
Salary & Benefits
- Base Salary: R294,695 – R382,469 p.a.
