Job Purpose
Responsible to perform and supervise the installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of plumbing equipment including pipes, fixtures, drainage systems and appliances associated with heating, cooling, water distribution and sanitation across the business unit according to legislation, regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain & Repair Systems: Respond to requests, diagnose faults, and repair plumbing systems and equipment. Install pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters), and conduct pressure tests.
  • Installations & Compliance: Interpret blueprints, install new systems (including underground), and ensure all work complies with safety regulations and SOPs.
  • Supervisory Duties: Supervise contractors/junior staff, complete job cards and inspection registers, control stock and tools, and follow up on fault logging.
  • Planning & Preparation: Manage daily job schedules, prepare necessary tools and PPE, and provide feedback to management on job status and challenges.
  • Knowledge & Development: Keep up to date with latest trade knowledge, safety regulations, and company procedures for plumbing work.

Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Grade 12.
  • Recognised Trade Test / 2-Year Diploma as a Plumber.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience performing plumbing repairs and installations.
  • Supervisory experience is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and working experience of SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) legislation.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform the role.
