Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Learner Parts Marketer role is to sell the organization’s merchandise effectively, achieve agreed sales targets, and ensure excellent stock management and customer service within the parts department. The role is a blend of sales, marketing, and operations, crucial for supporting the farming community’s mechanization needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Learner Parts Marketer, your duties will include:

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Meet and exceed agreed sales targets (a commission structure is applicable).
  • Actively market parts and workshop services to existing and potential customers.
  • Apply negotiation and problem-solving skills to close sales and build customer relationships.

Stock & Inventory Management

  • Maintain effective stock control to minimize out-of-stock situations.
  • Order stock strategically based on sales movement and specific customer needs.
  • Proactively source scarce or unavailable parts for customers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the entire product range is effectively displayed and that housekeeping standards for stock and fittings are maintained.

Customer Service & Administration

  • Provide excellent client service with a strong orientation towards marketing.
  • Administer and control all cash and card transactions at the point of sale accurately.
  • Handle customer interactions professionally, utilizing conflict management skills when necessary.

Personal Development

  • Demonstrate a willingness to undergo continuous training to enhance product knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other ad-hoc job-related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must have:

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Mathematics as a passed subject.
  • Previous experience in the sales of parts is essential.
  • clear criminal record.
