Job Purpose
To effectively administer and support the technology contracts in the Witbank region, ensuring sound financial performance, high-quality service delivery, client retention, and strict adherence to safety standards. The Junior Technician is a self-starter responsible for daily technical operations, customer service, and business development support.
Key Responsibilities
Effective Administration & Financial Performance:
- Manage contract profitability through accurate administration of billable hours and job cards.
- Coordinate and complete all contract and invoice documentation.
Effective Management of Operations:
- Complete daily technical tasks, monitoring standards and hours.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure client retention and high service levels.
- Adhere strictly to quality management and operational processes.
Business Development Support:
- Identify new business opportunities within the region and with existing customers.
Health and Safety:
- Actively participate in all safety programs, report incidents, and comply with all safety policies and PPE requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- 2-3 years of management or similar experience in Electronic Security Services.
- Extensive hands-on experience with CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Fire Detection, and Fire Suppression systems.
Technical Knowledge:
- Software: Knowledge of Time & Attendance, Access Control, and CCTV software; understanding of TCP/IP protocols; proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows OS.
- Hardware: Practical knowledge of CCTV, Alarm, Electric Fencing, Access Control, Gate Motor, Intercom, and PA system hardware, including CAT5 wiring.
Skills and Attributes:
- Managing conflict, excellent written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy and a proven ability to deliver on objectives.
- A self-starter with sound judgement and a results-driven attitude.
