Job Description
As a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver, you will:
✔ Drive heavy motor vehicles (excluding vehicles with a gross weight ≤15,000 kg)
✔ Transport goods to and from various locations
✔ Supervise loading/unloading and verify delivery notes
✔ Collect payments for COD orders and handle returns
✔ Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine checks
✔ Ensure accurate record-keeping of deliveries
Key Responsibilities
- Loading & Delivery:
- Supervise loading and verify goods against delivery notes.
- Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery (POD).
- Customer Service:
- Handle cash-on-delivery (COD) payments.
- Collect returns using Goods Return Vouchers (GRVs).
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Complete daily/weekly vehicle checklists.
- Report defects promptly to supervisors.
- Administration:
- Maintain delivery schedules with arrival/departure times.
Requirements
✅ Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
✅ Valid Code 10 Driver’s License
✅ 2+ Years’ Experience as a Delivery Assistant
✅ Strong Attention to Detail
✅ Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
