Job Purpose
To ensure the adequate maintenance and repair of properties, maintaining high standards across City Property’s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Indicators

  • Conduct General Maintenance: Perform a wide range of repairs and upkeep tasks for building interiors and exteriors.
  • Plumbing: Execute minor plumbing repairs as required.
  • Electrical: Conduct basic electrical work such as fitting light fixtures, changing bulbs, and fixing plugs.
  • Painting & Carpentry: Complete paintwork and general carpentry tasks, including fixing door hinges and changing locks.
  • Uphold Standards: Ensure all maintenance work meets the established quality standards of City Property.
  • Tool Management: Be responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of all tools assigned to you.

Working Conditions

  • Work is both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be willing and able to work at heights.
  • The role involves carrying heavy items and requires mobility to move between different buildings. (Own transport for commuting is not required).

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required.
  • A formal tradesman certificate is a strong advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ proven handyman experience is essential, with demonstrated skills in plumbing, painting, and basic electrical work.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Practical knowledge of painting, plumbing, basic electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Competence in general DIY tasks (e.g., carpet fixing).
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in using the standard tools required for maintenance duties.
