Job Overview
We’re hiring a General Assistant to support our Press department in Montague Gardens. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in printing operations with opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Assist printers in producing high-quality printed sheets
✔ Help identify and resolve print defects
✔ Support press maintenance and cleaning
✔ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
✔ Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Requirements
Essential:
✅ Grade 12 or equivalent
✅ Good communication & teamwork skills
✅ Attention to detail
✅ Ability to work under pressure
✅ Willingness to work shifts (including weekends)
Advantageous:
🔄 Experience with Offset Web Press or Sheetfed printing
📦 Knowledge of handling paper reels
