Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, load, and unload products, equipment, and materials within and around the company’s premises. The role is performed under supervision with clearly defined procedures, ensuring the smooth flow of goods to support production and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and transport products, equipment, or materials.
- Position forks or other lifting devices correctly under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes.
- Transport loads to and from designated areas in a safe and timely manner.
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or other lifting devices.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Perform routine pre- and post-operation checks on the forklift.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A valid forklift operator’s licence/certificate.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver, preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow clearly defined instructions and procedures.
Skills and Attributes
- A strong focus on safety and adherence to protocols.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical fitness for operating machinery and handling materials.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a responsible work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Advantageous Qualifications
