Job Purpose
To provide secure, timely, and professional driving services for the delivery and collection of goods. The driver is a key representative of the ACDC brand, ensuring excellent customer service and the safe handling of products while adhering to all company and road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver and collect orders as per management instruction.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and integral demeanour towards all staff, clients, and customers.
- Plan effective routes to ensure timely service delivery.
- Meticulously check all orders against delivery notes upon departure and arrival.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date trip logbook.
- Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained according to company standards.
- Strictly comply with all road traffic and driving regulations.
- Assist with the efficient dispatching of orders from the branch.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A valid, unendorsed Code 10 or Code 8 driver’s licence (a Professional Driving Permit – PDP – may be advantageous or required for certain vehicles; please confirm with the employer).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a wholesale, distribution, or similar industry.
- A clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of the Southern Suburbs and greater Cape Town road network.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
