Job Purpose
To safely and efficiently operate a Code 14 truck for the transportation of tractors and agricultural implements to and from clients. The role is responsible for ensuring load security, accurate documentation, route planning, vehicle maintenance, and providing professional service as a representative of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Code 14 truck to transport tractors and implements to clients.
- Perform loading and off-loading, ensuring all loads are correctly and safely secured.
- Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Plan efficient routes and meet delivery schedules consistently.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date travel logbook.
- Obey all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or arrange necessary repairs.
- Provide excellent communication and professional service to clients at all times.
- Assist the workshop and parts department when driving duties are complete.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s licence.
- At least 1 year’s experience in driving a truck.
Advantageous Experience:
- Knowledge of tractors and agricultural implements.
- Experience in the agricultural or logistics industry.
