Join the Western Cape Department of Health as a Cleaner and play a vital role in maintaining hygienic, safe healthcare environments across Metro health facilities.
Key Responsibilities
🧹 Facility Cleaning:
- Perform daily cleaning (sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing)
- Clean windows, walls, and outdoor areas
- Manage waste disposal
⚠️ Safety & Compliance:
- Follow infection control protocols
- Properly store cleaning chemicals/equipment
🔄 Operational Support:
- Assist with departmental rotations
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
Requirements
✅ Essential:
- Basic literacy & numeracy
- Physical ability for manual tasks
✅ Advantageous:
- Experience in healthcare cleaning
