About the Role:
The City of Tshwane is seeking 100 motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team as Cleaners within the Department of Group Property. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a structured municipal environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various City administrative buildings, playing a critical role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties in offices, passages, stairways, lifts, parking areas, and gardens.
- Conduct raking, sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, stripping, sealing, and vacuuming.
- Empty and clean bins and ashtrays.
- Clean windows, kitchens, toilets, and office equipment.
- Refill soap dispensers, paper holders, and deo-blocks.
- Collect recyclable paper throughout City facilities.
- Provide ad-hoc removal services as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic literacy and the ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently.
- Relevant experience in cleaning services (office cleaning experience is advantageous).
- Experience in gardening duties is beneficial.
- Must be physically fit and in good health to perform continuous physical work.
- Willingness to be deployed to any region within Tshwane.
