About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is building a talent pool of pre-screened Casual Cashiers for future opportunities at their Bedford stores. Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing: Accurately record sales, handle payments
- (cash/cards/vouchers), and process loyalty programs (Discovery, eBucks, etc.).
- Customer Service: Adhere to Dis-Chem’s 5-star communication principles, resolve queries, and report complaints to supervisors.
- Fraud Prevention: Monitor transactions for irregularities, secure cash drops, and protect sensitive login credentials.
- Compliance: Follow SOPs for refunds, line voids, and merchandise returns.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12/Matric certificate.
- Experience: 6+ months in cashier/till operations.
- Skills:
- Fluent English (written/oral).
- Strong numeracy and MS Office proficiency.
- Trustworthiness, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence.
- Logistics: Flexible for retail hours, including weekends; reside near Bedford.
