Job Purpose
To provide a proactive, armed security response service to protect clients’ property, assets, and lives. The officer will patrol designated areas, respond to alarm activations and emergency signals, and act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity, ensuring the highest standards of safety and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-visibility armed patrols and respond promptly to alarm activations within designated areas.
- Perform security checks on clients’ properties and report any irregularities or security breaches.
- Provide professional assistance and reassurance to clients and the public.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs accurately.
- Maintain and safeguard company assets, including vehicles and firearms.
- Adhere strictly to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and national security legislation.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Certifications (Non-negotiable):
- Grade 10 qualification.
- Valid Grade C PSIRA certificate.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Valid Firearm Competency – Handgun for Business Purposes.
- Clear criminal record.
- Must be physically fit and in good health.
- Must reside in the Western Cape.
Advantageous Qualifications
- Previous experience in the armed response or security industry.
- Further education (Grade 12).
