About the Role
Join Rand Water’s Shared Services team as a Heavy Vehicle Driver, responsible for the safe transportation of materials and equipment while adhering to strict operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
🚛 Transport Operations:
- Operate heavy vehicles (Code EC1) and truck-mounted cranes
- Deliver/collect equipment and materials
- Safely load/unload and secure cargo
🛠️ Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Report defects/incidents immediately
📋 Compliance:
- Follow all safe working procedures
- Complete job planning documentation
- Adhere to Rand Water’s K53 driving standards
Requirements
✅ Essential:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid Code EC1 license + Public Driver’s Permit
- 2+ years heavy vehicle driving experience
- Truck-mounted crane operation skills
