Job Purpose
To safely operate an assigned Code 14 (EC) truck, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of goods. The driver is responsible for vehicle roadworthiness, impeccable record-keeping, adherence to all safety and compliance standards, and providing excellent professional service to customers, contributing directly to efficient logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive the assigned Code 14 truck and conduct thorough pre-inspection checks.
- Verify, load, and deliver goods accurately and on time to customers.
- Maintain accurate daily records of mileage, fuel, deliveries, and incidents.
- Report any vehicle mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Keep the assigned truck clean, organised, and properly stocked.
- Adhere to all company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uphold safety standards.
- Provide professional, courteous service and communication to all customers and stakeholders.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions, and contribute to team goals.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.
- Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Proven 3-5 years of driving experience, with preference for experience in the FMCG Retail industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (fluent in English).
- Strong safety consciousness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic environment.
