About the Role
We are looking for proactive Warehouse Assistants who have high attention to detail and a drive for operational excellence while giving the customer a great shopping experience. The role is a critical link between warehouse operations and customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Order Management
- Act as a customer liaison; greet and acknowledge customers upon entry.
- Ensure every scheduled delivery is checked against the customer order for accuracy.
- Run the daily GPNT report and liaise with customers regarding collection.
- Receive and check all credits returned from customers.
Warehouse Operations & Stock Control
- Complete and sign control sheets for picking lists, GPNTs, OBOs, and IBTs for all invoices/documents.
- Ensure no problems with dispatched stock and that control sheets are filed daily.
- Participate in and be responsible for annual stock counts.
- Receive and pack stock (taps, mosaics, décor) in their correct, designated areas.
Housekeeping & Compliance
- Maintain the highest housekeeping standards in the warehouse and store.
- Ensure all daily housekeeping tasks are completed before leaving.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Sound numeric skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both in a team and individually.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict dispatch deadlines.
Advantageous Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse or retail role is preferable.
- A proven ability to meet goals consistently with superior housekeeping skills.
