Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this General Worker role is to provide versatile assistance to the grain facility, ensuring smooth daily operations. The incumbent will perform a variety of manual tasks related to product handling, cleaning, and basic equipment operation, acting as a GWK ambassador and a committed team player.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a General Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Product Handling & Operations
- Perform loading, bagging, and storage of grain and other relevant products.
- Drive a tractor when required to do so for various operational tasks.
- Carry out all duties with a focus on excellent service delivery.
Facility Support & Maintenance
- Perform general cleaning services to maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
- Execute various ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the facility’s workflow and team.
Teamwork & Conduct
- Act as a GWK brand ambassador at all times.
- Be a good team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must have:
- A minimum Grade 12 certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar general worker or manual labour role.
- Must be willing and available to work overtime as required.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
