Job Purpose
To protect Sibanye-Stillwater assets, employees, and visitors through effective access control, patrolling, and security operations in a high-risk environment, ensuring compliance with security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute access control procedures for people and vehicles entering company premises
- Conduct patrols on foot and by vehicle to monitor and secure company assets
- Perform searches of people and vehicles as per approved procedures
- Inspect buildings and infrastructure to identify security risks
- Protect employees and visitors through execution of safety protocols
- Participate in crowd control and facilitation when required
- Report suspicious behavior and security incidents to supervisors
- Record all observations and incidents on the SPS Crime Administration system (CiMMS)
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to cost-saving and cash conservation initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- NQF 2 (Grade 10) qualification
- Grade C registration with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority)
- Firearm competency certificate issued by SAPS
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in high-risk security environment
- Medical fitness for the position and environment
- Successful security screening and clearance
Advantageous Qualifications
- NQF 4 (Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate)
- Crowd control management certification
- Tactical firearm training certification
- Defense and restrain techniques certification
- Advanced driving skills certificate
- Certification in handling handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle or carbine
