The Department of Basic Education, in partnership with SA Youth, is recruiting for Phase V of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI-BEEI). This program offers unemployed youth the chance to gain valuable experience working in public schools across South Africa.

  • Monthly Stipend: R4,000 (less 1% UIF) + R30 data allowance

Who Can Apply?

✔ South African citizens aged 18–34
✔ Must have a valid SA ID/Smart ID
✔ Must live within 5 km of a school (30 km for rural/farm schools)
✔ Not in education, training, or employment
✔ No prior participation in PYEI-BEEI phases
✔ Youth with disabilities encouraged to apply
